Valentine's Day Cheer
As Valentine's Day approaches, I have heard and read a lot of hilarious stories that made me laugh and smile. I'd like to share them with you.
My boyfriend and I met online and we’d been dating for over a year. I introduced Hans to my uncle, who was fascinated by the fact that we met over the Internet. He asked Hans what kind of line he had used to pick me up. Ever the geek, Hans naively replied, “I just used a regular 56K modem.”
One morning Emma woke up with a start. Her husband Jim asked what was the matter, she told him, "I just had a dream that you gave me a pearl necklace for Valentine's day. What do you think it means?"
"You'll know tonight," Jim said.
That evening, Jim home with a small package and gave it to his wife. Delighted, Emma opened it - only to find a book entitled "The meaning of dreams"
Mike walked into a post office just before Valentine's day, he couldn't help noticing a middle-aged, balding man standing in a corner sticking "Love" stamps on bright pink envelopes with hearts all over them. Then the man got out a bottle of Channel perfume from his pocket and started spraying scent over the envelopes.
By now Mike's curiosity had got the better of him, and so I asked the man why he was sending all those cards. The man replied, "I'm sending out 500 Valentine cards signed, 'Guess who?'"
"But why?" asked Mike. "I'm a divorce lawyer," the man replied.

How many calories does laughing burn?
Now that the holidays are over, I have been asked, "How much do I have to laugh to burn off the meals that I ate?" My response to that question was, "Don't ever stop laughing!" To work off the amount of calories from turkey/ham dinners with all the trimmings, cakes, pies and other various treats, one would have to laugh 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. :)
Researchers at Vanderbilt University found adults burn an average of 1.3 calories per minute while laughing with others. That’s about the same number of calories that you would burn while taking notes in a lecture or while standing and talking on the phone.
Laughter burns calories, relieves emotional stress and it is a workout for the muscles of the diaphragm, abdomen, back and shoulders. It definitely has its benefits, but it is not a substitute for weight loss programs or daily exercise. With that being said, keep hope and laughter alive!!
Wishing you all a Safe and Happy 2014!
